A few short weeks ago Stephtastic and her husband KB got a new addition to their family. A little black kitten they have named Dexter.

She does not exactly get along with Kitty (my sister’s cat of 13 years), but they are getting used to each other I think. Kitty is the Devil. She used to pee all over my stuff (like my bed!) and hide at the bottom of the stairs and bite my Achilles. Little fu…furball. I must admit, ever since Stephtastic and KB have gotten married and moved in, Kitty appears to have done a complete 180° and wants to cuddle with me. I am still a little weary.

Dexter is a little ball of cuddles and I think we have gotten along really well until today. We have cuddled and loved each other. Today she decided to attack my feet when I was sitting on the bar stool. Stephtastic says it because she really, really likes me, but I find it a little hard to believe. Experience, and all. She is pretty easy to please though…
I just asked MPW if he would like to do a triathlon in August. Stephtastic is training with some teammates and a cousin to complete one and I thought, “MPW likes biking and running, perhaps he would like to do it.”
He gently reminded me that he can’t swim. *cue whaa-whaa*

Stephtastic and I were sitting on the porch at my Mom’s house, enjoying the warm weather and talking about Derby when this car pulls up across the street. I guess the guy driving was checking out the house for sale.
Beside me, Stephtastic huffs and says, “Whatever! They’re on a date and he’s trying to impress her.” And then a bit louder she says, “And the car’s probably rented!”
Good thing the music was loud and they couldn’t hear us.
