That Just Happened!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who participated in Follow Me Friday and all those who found me through other means.  As you know I offered $1 for each new follower on my blog to help sponsor MPW in the RONA MS Bike Tour.  I raised $21 and contributed a total of $50, so thankyouthankyouthankyou! 

Thankfully the clouds, although ominous, didn’t actually release a torrent of rain, so Team Quest Cycle managed to stay dry through the event.  After an early start on both days (8am) both MPW and his team member, Chris managed to rock it out on their bikes.   MPW rode 85km (mostly uphill, he tells me) on the first day and about 77km on the second day (which was mercifully easier, he told me) for a total of 162km.  Chris did an extra 25 km on both days for a total of  212km!  Their team even got an award for Best Team Spirit!  Can I get a “wooohooo!”?  As I mentioned before  Chris is directly affected by MS.  His mother-in-law is afflicted with this disease and research is so important because it means they can try to find a cure.  It also means this little gal will have a healthier grandma in her life.
