The Book That Made Me LOL. Literally.

Life doesn’t get more hilarious than when Chelsea Handler takes aim with her irreverent wit. Who else would send all-staff emails to smoke out the dumbest people on her show? Now, in this new collection of original essays, the #1 bestselling author of Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelseadelivers one laugh-out-loud moment after another as she sets her sights on the ridiculous side of childhood, adulthood, and daughterhood.
Family moments are fair game, whether it’s writing a report on Reaganomics to earn a Cabbage Patch doll, or teaching her father social graces by ordering him to stay indoors. It’s open season on her love life, from playing a prank on her boyfriend (using a ravioli, a fake autopsy, and the Santa Monica pier) to adopting a dog so she can snuggle with someone who doesn’t talk. And everyone better duck for cover when her beach vacation turns into matchmaking gone wild. Outrageously funny and deliciously wicked, CHELSEA CHELSEA BANG BANG is good good good good!

Sara @ Sara’s Organized Chaos absolutely loves Chelsea Handler. She has read and reviewed all her books, and is learning how to work the DVR so that she can watch her all the time. After so many ravishing reviews, I felt I needed to check it out and see for myself what all of the fuss was about. I had heard of Chelsea Handler before, but I had never read her books or seen her show. I just knew she was a somewhat crass, but very funny lady somewhere on TV. I can now say that I know her and love her humour. I literally spent the entire time I was reading laughing out loud, or shaking with suppressed laughter. So much so, that MPW kept getting pissed off because he was trying to sleep. “Sleep be darned!” I thought, “This needs to be read and appreciated.” This isn’t the first time I have got the giggles in bed and I am sure it will not be the last. After all, I do plan on reading her other books now.
I thought that I would give you a little taste of the type of humour you’re dealing with, so below is Chelsea Handler on The View. If you want to see more of her you can check out YouTube. I warn you, some of her stuff can be pretty crass, but it’s hilarious nonetheless. I would say this book is a Must Read (as long as you do not get offended by cruder types of humour). I am a Sitsgal that has never heard of Chelsea Handler before. I love comedy though, adore it. Might have to check it out, maybe it’ll even be my next read.:)

I wasn’t a huge fan of Chelsea Handler during her ‘Girls Behaving Badly’ sketch show days but I love her humor (well, most of it–I’m still not a fan of the absurd skits) on her talk show. Sounds like picking up her books would be a good idea

I like her, but sometimes she can be really abrasive!

That was hilarious. I (live in a hole obviously) have not heard of her so that was a nice surprise. The title of that book alone is fantastic and the picture! Priceless.
