I’m Losing Sleep. 39 Clues as to Why.

I’m a little bit late jumping on the bandwagon (I’m on book 4 of 8), but now that I’m on it I am tooting the horn. The 39 Clues is a fantastic series for young adults. Each book follows the Cahill children as they compete with their extended family to race around the world and gather clues that will restore fortune and power to the winners.
Why I’m pushing these books like McDonalds pushes fast food on kids…
They’re educational, but you don’t even feel like you’re learning something. Each book in the series gives facts and educates the reader on a different famous person. Book One was Ben Franklin, Book Two was Mozart, Book Three is Toyotomi Hideyoshi…you get the drift. Your child will be learning about all these famous people and their contribution to history.
The books are suspenseful thrillers…for kids. And adults. I honestly could not put the books down and can finish one in under 2 hours. Which is why I cannot start one before I go to bed. I was up until very, very late because I had to know what was next.
They do not talk down to your kids. The relationship between the kids is definitely an accurate portrayal of a sibling relationship. Well, at least mine. There isn’t a specific “moral of the story”, but you learn a lot about how to treat each other and your family without feeling preached to.
Each book is written by a different author, but they all flow together seamlessly. I mean Gordon Korman and Rick Riordan are just two of the most amazing authors that are contributing to this series by writing a book.
It’s interactive! You can collect trading cards, go online and do your own quest, learn more about the books all at its own website http://www.the39clues.com/. Sponsored by Scholastic (a leading publisher of children’s fiction) there is much more to learn on the website.
Whether you are picking it up for you, or your child, these books are educational, thrilling, and, well, just downright awesome!
These books are MUST READS!!!

No, I haven’t, is it one I should be picking up? Do you know who the author is? I tried googling it, but the closest I could find was Coyote at the Kitchen Door.
