Chipits Can Suck It (For Today)
Posted in At Home and tagged with Chocolate on 03/16/2010 03:36 pm by JennI love chocolate! Yummy, yummy, yummy. I doubt there is a girl out there who doesn’t (unless you’re allergic, in which case it isn’t really that great and you’re not missing much).
I must confess I keep a little big jar filled with chocolate chips in the kitchen for baking purposes. Or at least, that is what I tell MPW every time he tries to sneak a few. I punctuate my shriek of “hands off those are mine!” with a slap of his wrist and an accusatory glare. In reality I just want them all to myself. They are there for baking, but usually I just end up eating them all.
I recently overdid it with the chips. I was eating them right out of the bag (my first mistake) in front of my computer (another mistake) and managed to eat the whole bag in one week four three days. *groan* My tummy feels not so good now. What I really hate about this is not my lack of restraint (cause it’s chocolate, people!) it’s the fact that when I was finished that Chipits cookie was smiling at me. What the heck?! What seemed so cute and funny now just seems mocking and cruel. What does that Chipits cookie know anyway? What has he got to be happy about? Someone is going to eat him!
Maybe for now I’ll just turn the package over and go lie on the couch in the standard chocolate-coma position. Please don’t judge me!
Yeah, That Just Happened!

You told me they were for baking purposes too!! (good call by the way lets be honest). Whenever there is a sale i buy a package for mom and end up eating them myself as they sit in the cupboard. When she goes to make pancakes or muffins there is like 2 chips per cake… so sad

no judgements whatsoever. my mom is a champion chipit eater, she buys the bags under the guise of baking, then dumps them out onto a paper towel to consume little by little. it’s the same with cadbury mini eggs…the bane of my existance.

That’s like me and the bag of peanut butter chips. If the cabinet isn’t closed and I spy the open bag, dangerous things happen. Or the bags of open chips. Oh chips are my weaknes s(tortilla/ pita chips).

You’re not alone in this. If I don’t use the bag for baking within a few hours of its arrival, I start eating it too.
