A Non-Shout Out
Posted in At Home and tagged with Alberta, Friends, Ontario on 03/10/2010 01:09 am by JennHa! I am gaining a following. While chatting with my friend Mille I found out that her partner (aka boyfriend, for the non-politically-correct crowd) enjoys reading my blog. Awesome! I love being loved! Because I am such an attention-whore (for my blog, people) I offered to do a shout-out to her partner aka boyfriend. With a picture, of course.
Although now I am not sure if I am going to. Why? Because I just found out that Mille has decided to stay in Alberta for another year.
Do you know how long that is?! Too. Long. She has already been gone 3 and for someone who used to meet her at the coffee shop at 10 and leave at 4am, this is a very long time. Now, she says it is because she hasn’t explored enough yet. Ha! She says it is because she has been working so hard and wants to enjoy all the outdoorsy stuff (crap) Alberta has to offer. Ha, I don’t care! Actually, that’s a lie. As a rez-life coordinator she is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week and frequently works 14-24 hour days and I do care. And of course it is also because she met her partner aka boyfriend. I guess the plan is to stick it out in Alberta until he is finished his degree and then he will be making the trek with her to Ontario. However, after keeping her out there for a year…I don’t know if he’ll be welcome. *Sniff*
I really wish they didn’t look so happy in that picture. It makes it harder to stay mad disappointed mad…
Yeah, That Just Happened!

there are many things that make this one of my favourite posts despite the bad news (cause we all like that camille lady).
I love the fact the first picture looks like it was taken through tears because there is a glassy hint (i know it is the window) and the second is because your computer took charge and did what you wanted to and decided to xnay the picture of them together. Third i never realized till now how rez-life looked so ghetto with its z and all … reminds me of thug life really.
I think what is called for here is an elaborate mousetrap (the game) scenario to bring her home. never leave a man, or woman, behind.

Haha…I’ve fixed the picture now. Although I can appreciate the situation, I really hate it when the thing doesn’t work. (and I want everyone to see who it is that has taken her away.)

I’m so sorry!
That’s a shame.
Yup, I have read the Saving Cecielia book. My MIL bought it for me and I read it this weekend. I liked it. It was really well woven together and a sweet, but not sappy story. If you liked Blind Side, Steel Magnolias and Divine Sisterhood, you’d like it. It’s a really great tale of Southern women.

I second the feelings of loss you expressed wholeheartedly.
Sam, if you’re reading this, you’re responsible

Well at least this gives me another year to get out to visit her. I’m the only one who hasn’t yet! Boo on me.
Sam, if Cam thinks you’re worth it, then I’m in her corner.
Jenn: Well written blog. I appreciate your pain in missing Cam:(
Who’s up for a road trip to see her this summer?!
(or an airplane trip, whatever!)
