Letting Your Teammate Push Over a Ref Does Not Help You Win, Favre
Posted in Football and tagged with Brett Favre, Football, Packers, Vikings on 10/26/2009 10:28 am by JennSunday afternoon I settled down to watch my Brett (who I have a love-hate relationship with) and the Vikings continue their winning season streak. (I must also take this opportunity to apologize to MPW’s friend Heather who came over to spend time with him and ended up sitting silently on our couch while I extolled the virtues of the Vikings and the Packers. Thanks for being so cool with it.) I had a feeling this game wouldn’t be a pretty one. And ugly it was. At one point a referee got pushed over and trampled on by a Viking and the receivers must have had butter on their hands because making a catch proved almost impossible. Awesome-Jenn-pumps-her-fists-in-the-air-and-crows-triumphantly plays were hard to come by.
Kudos must go out to Harvin who returned a kickoff for a touchdown which was quite the comeback from the foul he got just minutes earlier. Peterson scored the other TD for the Vikings with a two yard rush.
I think what is so super sad about this whole thing was that the entire game I kept blaming the receivers, the defense, the offense…everyone but Brett because he was making some good passes. I even defended the one that bounced off the goal post. Eeesh. At the end of the day the QB is the one who holds the team together and who controls the pace of the game. The Vikings loss was Brett’s loss too. I think my not-so-little closet crush is getting in the way of me objectively despising him for not retiring and turning his back on the Packers (who kicked butt!! Congrats Packers).
Yeah, That Just Happened!

I read this online article at cracked.com about trolls fogging up message posts. It was said that the first post in the comments column sets the tone of the entire posting session thereafter. It was a neat theory and seemed to have a lot of logic on its side. In that vein I will not post the 1 line comment *giggle* sacked… but will instead work it into a well thought out comment as to not muddy the waters of the message board… and I am sure there are not a lot of trolls here … yet… but when they come I will be glad for moderated comments
