How Much is Too Much to Spend on Shoes?
Posted in Shoes and tagged with Burberry, Louboutin, Shoes on 10/21/2009 03:46 pm by JennI have been thinking a lot about shoes lately. Yes, yes, no suprise there. However, I was thinking about how maybe $300+ is a lot to spend on one pair of shoes. There are a lot of really cute, really cheap shoes out there, so why bother parting with 300 hard-earned loonies? Below are two pictures of rain boots on the market right now. Can you tell which one is the more expensive pair? I think I can, but I am starting to wonder if it is just because I know which one it is that the choice is obvious. Walking down the street, would it matter what the label was?

Can you tell what the difference is? Check to see if you were right by clicking on the boot.
Did you know one has a famous pattern? That the cheaper one is warmer? I did, but does that mean I can justify spending that much money on a pair of rain boots? Because of the label? I don’t know.
As I was covering the phones at work the other day I was staring out the window people watching and I saw a girl tottering down the street with a group of friends. They were all laughing and dressed up in cute work clothes. But what drew my attention to that particular girl was the fact she was wearing Louboutin. The red soles of her black boots peeped out as she passed. She looked…happy (although a bit unbalanced). The way I must look when I totter down the street in my Louboutins. I think that if it makes you that happy (and you can afford it!) why not spend the money on shoes? Or patterned rain boots that will get worn exactly 34 days of the year.

Today made me giggle… i open a small wondow everyday to read this blog and the first thing I got that the title and it made me smile… also if you spent 5$ on coffee a day only on a weekday you would be able to afford the rain boots in appx 2 months of bringing a thermos…. 5$ x 5 days =25$ x 8 weeks =200$ and burberry boots
i must admit the soles look sturdier on the cheaper pair (3 weeks of thermosdom)and I like them better

I love how you justify it! It makes them seem more affordable! Just go without coffee for two days a week. Ha.
